Hi, I'm Kimberly. I'm a Certified Rolfer™ and an advocate of holistic healthcare.
I'm also a contented mother, avid reader, fun-loving friend, sparkling conversationalist (so I'm told) and lover of good food (I worked that one out by myself!).
Why I do what I do
I feel incredibly fortunate to spend my time doing something that gives me great satisfaction – that is, listening deeply to folks and helping them work out what they need to take care of their bodies and general well-being. And I'm thankful that Rolfing® has given me the knowledge and tools to make a positive, lasting difference in people's lives.
Much of my drive and passion comes from my own experience as a patient with Type 1 Diabetes and the parent of child with disabilities...
It's frustrating when you can't find someone with the answers you need.
It's tiring to tell the various specialists and practitioners your story, over and over, and feel as though they aren't really listening to what you have to say.
It simply sucks not to feel good, strong and confident in your own body.
And it adds insult to injury when the very person who's supposed to be helping you says, 'you'll just have to live with it.'
I don't make promises I can't keep.
Do I believe we can all get back to feeling like we did when we were 18 years old?
No.
But there are always options we can choose to improve our situation, to live our best. And we do that by becoming an advocate for our own health and well-being – with an open mind, with patience and with perseverance.
I approach the care of myself and my loved ones with curiosity and a willingness to learn new things.
And this goes to the heart of what I aim to do for all of my clients – to be an informed, supportive partner who can help you live a healthier, happier life.
My practice is a place for all people and all bodies to receive care and attention. I am actively taking continuing education to learn more skills to work with individuals undergoing and recovering from gender affirming surgeries. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
